Where do You Store Your Crinkle-Cut?

That's not a question you would ask everybody.  But you could ask us and we would tell you in plastic containers which are stacked in big gray fabric bins.  Take a look below.

In addition to the "At Home with John Newman" blog, we have www.boxshoppe.org where we sell a line of private label, hand embossed and designed favor boxes.  In each box, we place a cushion of crinkle-cut as a bed to support candy or other goodies.

Of course, we want to offer our customers many different selections of boxes and we also like to keep a good supply of crinkle-cut paper in varying hues on hand at all times.

It is important to stay organized in the favor box business.  It's important to stay organized in any business.  So we try to keep all of our crinkle-cut neatly inventoried and stored in plastic bins.

We even have a few exotic blends.  Above is a white and sparkly gold combination.  This is really pretty.

And here we have another color combination in pink and ecru.  This is much heavier than the paper above.  This has a much more "woody" texture.  It is a good deal more expensive and hard to find.

We use plastic containers to store all the crinkle-cut.  These containers have see-thru lids which is extremely helpful when searching for just the right color for a customer.  The lids lock in place with handles which lift up from the sides of each container.

We stack them in groups of four and then place them in large gray fabric totes which all have hinged lids and handles.

The lid flips over and then it can be placed on shelving in our work area until we are ready to retrieve it to fill a special box order or to make sets for sale through the website.

Both the plastic bins and the gray fabric bins can be found at your local Walmart store.  Getting organized need not cost a fortune.  Organization is not about spending money.  It is about bringing order to your life through any means that work for you.
