A Great Host/Hostess Gift

If you are invited to a soiree this holiday season and you are wondering what to take as a gift for your host or hostess, read on.

I picked up this divine box of potpourri at HomeGoods.  Not only does it smell heavenly, it is really beautiful.  This would look smashing in a crystal bowl or a silver bowl - really in any bowl.  It would look smashing in a cereal bowl!!!

You will want to present your gift fashionably.  You cannot just walk in and hand over a box of potpourri.  I'm not much for wrapping a gift like this.  But placed inside a festive gift bag works.

This medium sized gift bag is just perfect.  It is just the right size for the box of potpourri and it is gorgeous.  And, ... don't tell anyone, ... but it was $1.79!!!  I like the handle.

It sparkles!!!  Can we have too many sparkly things at Christmas time?  Answer.  No!

The inside of this bag is beautifully appointed also.  Not all gift bags have a design on the inside, so this is a plus.  What I did not like was that smudge in the upper left corner of the cardboard support in the bottom.  I don't know if it was a glue stain or what, but that would not do.

So, I placed a silver foil seal over it.  Problem solved.

Actually, the foil seal looks like it was always there.  Like it was part of the packaging from the factory.  So nobody will ever know that it was added for aesthetics.

A little gold tissue paper inside the bag and then in with your box of potpourri.  A stunning gift for the host or hostess.

If you are so inclined, and you would like to take a little something extra, you can always add a bottle of champagne.  This bottle of Moet & Chandon is just the perfect gift.  And it comes with this reusable jacket, which is zippered in the back.  You can transport the jacket from bottle to bottle to help keep it chilled.  Champagne must be served super chilled.  You want it as cold as possible.  I never want a glass of warm champagne.  Not good.  Never serve warm champagne.

For that extra special "pop", add one of these little mink stoles with a rhinestone brooch.  It is "faux" fur, of course.  Isn't that a wonderful look.  I bought several of these.  I have them in black, white, beaver, sable.  I will keep them in stock and use them when the occasion arises.

To deliver the bottle with its beautiful fur stole and jacket, it is nice to place it inside a festive bag designed for just this purpose.  This winter white canvas bag with the shimmering silver stars was just perfect.

And finally, our gift bags together and ready to be presented.  This is a great way to show your appreciation or affection for a special person or couple in your life.  They will love the presentation and the wonderful gifts.
