I love mondo grass. I have planted it a couple times in different areas but I have not had good luck with it. That is probably due to my lack of caring for it properly and not something specific to the plant. When I was at Patuxent Nursery a few weeks ago with my friend Lea, they were just starting to set out the plants for the season and one thing I noticed was Black Mondo Grass.
Here, on one of their large flatbed trailers, was a vast display of Black Mondo Grass. I was and continue to be intrigued by this. I feel like I must get this in the landscape somewhere. I did a little searching online for Black Mondo Grass in the landscape and here are a few of the pictures I found.
I think I might need to take a walk around the yard this weekend and see where we could use some Black Mondo Grass.
