On my lunchtime walk one day this week, I came across this beautiful vine in one of the front lawns in tony Foggy Bottom in Washington, DC.
Whatever this is it appears to be quite mature. The vines have covered this section of a small wrought iron gate. So I doubt this was planted this year.
I have never seen a flower like this. I think it is quite beautiful and I wish I knew the name. I might like to invest in some for our gardens. If you know what this is, contact us.
