We Celebrated Bev's Birthday during her Labor Day Visit

The actual date isn't until, ... well I won't say.  She may not want that information out there.  Suffice it to say, it is sometime in September.  I usually put together a box of things I think she will like, wrap it up and we spend the evening going through all of the stuff.  But we decided to take a different route this year.  Steven found these wonderful porcelain plates and we decided we would give these instead of the "box of many things."

The plates are from Olive & Cocoa.  They are a catalog and web-based company located in Salt Lake City, UT.  I would say that they offer a unique and elegant array of gifts and home furnishings.  We have ordered from them before and have always been pleased with the items we chose and the time it took for them to arrive.  Always very carefully packaged and adorned as you will see below.

What a beautiful presentation.  Simple and gorgeous.  You can never go wrong with simplicity.  The plates came in a lovely hatbox style box with this splendid wide satin ribbon tied around and their card attached at the center.

The box was nicely packaged so as to prevent damage during shipping.  Everything was perfect.

A few minutes later the ribbon was removed and we got to take a first look at the beautiful plates inside.

Bev is a big fan of Halloween.  I think most people are.  It's fun to dress up and to be scared.  Why do you think scary movies do so well at the theater?  Because we love to be scared.  We went with a Halloween themed set of plates.

Stealthy black cats.

Spiders weaving their webs.

Bats aflight.

And wise old owls.

Beautiful.  All of them were spectacular.  We could not have been more pleased.  And she was too. So if you are in the market for unique and elegant gifts or items for your own home, visit Olive & Cocoa here.  You are certain to find something you cannot live without!
