A Visit to the Earth Boxes

Spectacular results in our garden planted in Earth Boxes.  Take a stroll with me to see how things are growing.

It looks like we will have an abundance of cucumbers this year.

This did not focus like I thought it did,  That is actually a tiny cucumber forming on the vine in the middle that is all fuzzy.

This is orange bell pepper blooming.  It looks like we will have a good crop of orange bell pepper.

Green bell peppers have already begun filling out.

And purple bell peppers and also looking good.  Purple bell pepper was the first to produce, so they are the largest.  They start out green and then slowly take on the purple color.  This is our first year planting the purples.

The tomatoes are looking good.

We have even got this one that is starting to turn red.  Fresh tomatoes from the garden.  Is there anything more delicious?

A little further down the row are strawberries.  This strawberry is beyond picking.  That is my fault.  I left it too long and now it is not edible.

However, there are many blossoms on the strawberry plants.  So we will have more opportunities to harvest strawberries.

These are the strawberry plants.  They are especially vigorous.  I am so pleased to see that they rooted and are happy in their Earth Box.

So there is a quick look at the garden this year.  It won't be long now until we start harvesting and that it when it really become fun.

We will be spending the majority of the weekend packing boxes at Crest Avenue.  We will share with you how that project is going next week.  Happy weekend to all our loyal readers.
